Position: Director, National Disaster Operations Centre (NDOC) – Ministry of Interior and
Co-ordination of National Government. The NDOC monitors all emergencies, natural and
human-induced hazards, co-ordinates response to emergencies and disasters, mobilizes resources
for response to emergencies and disasters, and carries out disaster risk reduction.
Job Description: The Director NDOC is the National Disaster Risk Reduction Focal Point
and is responsible for all NDOC operations.
Crisis Responsibility: In the event of a crisis, the Director NDOC ensures that all the
functional responsibilities of the NDOC are carried out in a timely manner and that the NDOC
adheres to international “Best Practices”.
Work achievements: The Director NDOC has, during his tenure, ensured that the NDOC is
upgraded to the highest operational standards.
