Arch. Dr. Noel J. O. Okello (1977) graduated in architecture and urban design from the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology before completing a PhD at the Oslo School of Architecture and Design in 2017. He has a 15 years' wealth of experience as a practicing architect and has worked in various scholarly capacities at the School of Architecture and Building Sciences of the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology for 18 years. He has been an urban design consultant for the Central Bank of Kenya and has written professional and academic articles for the Institute of Quantity Surveyors of Kenya, the National Construction Authority (Kenya), the African Habitat Review Journal and the Architectural Association of Kenya. He has also worked on technical committees in charge of public and international projects in governmental organizations including the Kenya Bureau of Standards and the Export Promotion Council, Kenya.
