Aliso Odinyo is a director at Iris Architects Ltd based in Nairobi, Kenya, with over fourteen (14) years professional design management work experience. He has extensive project management and architect experience both in managing engineering teams from project conception through to detailing with both pre- and post- contract administration for various commercial, healthcare, hospitality, residential and master-planning projects.
At Iris Architects he provides Project management & creative solutions on a wide range of projects whilst responsible sound level of technical competence, planning, scheduling, conducting and coordinating the technical and management aspects on assigned projects, review and approve technical design phases of projects, accountable for the quality of service on assigned projects and to keep abreast of technological developments.
Prior to Iris Architects, Aliso was a project architect for Bowman Associates and Conte Design where he was responsible for Project brief interpretation, conceptualization, space planning, facade design and concept 3D modelling. He was also accountable for codes interpretation and optimization, building standards, regulations and practices applicable to design, construction methods and procedures. He was also responsible for compiling specification, preparation of bills of quantities and post-contract project administration as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Some of the recent Healthcare Projects Include; masterplan of the AIC Kijabe Hospital, masterplan of the Juba Hospital, Medical Education Building for the AIC Kijabe Hospital, Vacated Spaces at the Aga Khan University Hospital. Masterplan for Hema Hospital.
Aliso is a registered Architect with the Board of Registration of Architects and Quantity Surveyors (BORAQS) A1313, a corporate member of the Architectural Association of Kenya (AAK) 2823 and an Associate member of the Chartered institute of Arbitrators.  He is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Construction Management at The University of Nairobi.
